Mathematics

This is our Maths subject page.
Here you will find documentation about the Maths children will be learning in school and our policy to support teaching and learning.
You will also have opportunity to see some pupils work and hear their opinions.
Planning for Teaching and Learning in Maths
-The Maths Skills Progression document below shows what strands of the National Curriculum are covered in the different year groups.
All classes follow the White Rose curriculum scheme, as stated in our Maths Policy.
- The Whole School Long Term Plan and the Termly Plans
(also known as Medium Term Plans) for each show the curriculum content for each class.
- Assessment lessons for each unit and SATS weeks (for Year 2 and 6) are included in the Termly Plans.
- Termly Plans are broken down into 'small steps' which show the content for each lesson.
- More detailed teaching and learning content for each lesson is found on the White Rose website and teachers refer to this when preparing the work for their class.

"I love it! I'm good at it and it's really interesting- it's fascinating how you can turn numbers into words." Badgers.
